Netflix’s list of new releases for April 2022 is highlighted by the return of one of the great sci-fi comedies ever. Natasha Lyonne is set to return as the temporally displaced Nadia on Russian Doll season 2 on April 20. The first season of the show premiered in 2019 and appeared to tell a rather complete story about one Brooklyn woman’s experiences of dying over and over again. But Lyonne and fellow producers Leslye Headland and Amy Poehler still have some story to tell. Netflix is undoubtedly very happy to let them continue to tell it. Another major series of note this month is the final batch of episodes for Ozark. The saga of the Byrd family and their shady dealings first premiered in 2017 and now has only seven episodes left to wrap everything up. Those episodes arrive on April 29. In addition to exciting TV originals like the aforementioned, it’s also an interesting month for the British on Netflix. Series like The Last Bus (April 1) and Anatomy of a Scandal (April 15) get prominent placement on the streamer as does a documentary touching on a very dark topic with Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story.
