That’s why it’s so strange that the answers to those questions aren’t nearly as simple as they probably should be. It is possible to alter some aspects of your character in Cyberpunk 2077 once you’ve committed to certain skills and physical choices, but other alterations are simply impossible at this time. To help you make sense of this sometimes confusing system, here’s a look at the ways that you can (and can’t) respec your Cyberpunk 2077 and change their appearance.
How to Respec Your Character in Cyberpunk 2077
Despite initial appearances to the contrary, it is possible to respec you Cyberpunk 2077 character. Unfortunately, doing so is going to cost you a lot of money and about as much time. While it’s definitely possible to earn that kind of money fairly early on, doing so will require you to take on a variety of side jobs. If you reach a point when you’re desperate to respec your perk points, the best thing to do is to focus on short side jobs with high payouts and other quick cash opportunities such as scavenging. Now, you may have noticed that we’ve only referenced perk points so far. That’s because there doesn’t seem to be a way to redistribute your attribute points. While it’s possible that there’s some way to redistribute your attribute points that just hasn’t been discovered yet, we’d highly recommend being careful with how you choose to distribute your attribute points as you might have to build a new character in order to really experiment with multiple builds.
How to Change Your Appearance in Cyberpunk 2077
It probably won’t be long into your Cyberpunk 2077 journey before you start wondering how to change your physical appearance. Well, the funny thing about that is…you can’t. Based on our own playthroughs of Cyberpunk 2077 and every user report we’ve heard so far, there doesn’t seem to be a way to significantly alter your character’s body after you’ve finished the initial creation process. So far as we can tell, there’s not even a way to get a haircut! That’s a bizarre omission for a game world that emphasizes body modifications. Again, it’s possible that everyone has missed how to change your physical appearance, but the most likely explanation is that it just doesn’t exist in the game (at least not yet). That being the case, you should choose wisely during the initial character creation process.
How to Change Your Clothes In Cyberpunk 2077
Changing clothes you already own in Cyberpunk 2077 is simple enough. You just need to open your inventory, choose a clothing slot, and pick the piece that you want to wear. It’s everything else about Cyberpunk 2077‘s clothing system that’s complicated. See, if you’re just going for pure stats, you’re likely going to end up wearing an odd assortment of clothes that definitely won’t earn you a lot of love on the runway. It’s not a huge deal, but considering that this is one of the only real ways to customize your character’s appearance, it’s a real bummer that the clothing system isn’t a little more dynamic. There are ways around this problem, but they’re not great. For instance, there are various clothing stores throughout Night City that will sell you new threads. Each store even sells different items, so it’s worth going to multiple locations to find the ones you want. Once again, though, you may be forced to change your clothes over time (or change them based on your current circumstances) since there are stats tied to different pieces of clothing. It is possible to create custom clothing and even install mods to existing pieces of clothing that raise their attributes. However, only certain pieces of clothes can be modded and even custom clothes offer limited visual options (plus they’ll set you back a ton of materials). If you’re really concerned about your character’s clothes, the best thing to do is shop around and customize your clothes whenever you can.
